Chicken and Potatoes Main Dish

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until golden.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the pot, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Stir in the cubed potatoes and mix well with the chicken and spices.
  5. Add enough water to cover the chicken and potatoes, bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender.
