Suji Aloo Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina (suji)
- 2 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, mashed potatoes, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add water gradually to the mixture until you achieve a smooth batter consistency.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a few drops of oil.
- Once the oil is hot, pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan, spreading it into a circle.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
- Repeat the process for the remaining batter, adding oil as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves, along with ketchup or chutney.
