Suji Aloo Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semolina (suji)
  • 2 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, mashed potatoes, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add water gradually to the mixture until you achieve a smooth batter consistency.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a few drops of oil.
  4. Once the oil is hot, pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan, spreading it into a circle.
  5. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
  6. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, adding oil as needed.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves, along with ketchup or chutney.
