Parisian Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients for making French hot chocolate:
100g dark chocolate
500ml whole milk
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp sugar
1 pinch salt
Instructions for making Parisian hot chocolate:
- Start by thinly chopping 100g of dark chocolate.
- Pour 500 ml whole milk into a saucepan and add two cinnamon sticks and vanilla extract, then stir frequently.
- Cook until the milk starts to boil and the cinnamon has infused its flavor into the milk, approximately 10 minutes.
- Remove the cinnamon sticks and add cocoa powder. Whisk to incorporate the powder into the milk, then strain the mixture through a sieve.
- Return the mixture to the stove with the heat still turned off and add sugar and salt. Heat and stir until the chocolate has melted. Remove from heat and serve.
