MOONG DAL PALAK DHOKLA

Ingredients:
1 cup Chilka Moong Dal (alternatively whole moong can be used)
1/4 cup Rice
1 bunch blanched Spinach
Green Chillies (as per taste)
1 small Ginger Knob
Coriander Leaves
Water (as required)
Salt as per taste
1 small packet of Fruit Salt (Eno)
Red Chilli Powder
For Tadka:-
2 tbs Oil
Mustard Seeds
White Sesame Seeds
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Curry Leaves
Chopped Coriander
Grated Coconut

Method:
In a mixer jar, take 1 cup Chilka Moong Dal
& 1/4 cup Rice (soaked for 3-4 hours)
Add 1 bunch blanched Spinach
Add Green Chillies (as per taste)
Add a small Ginger Knob
Add Coriander Leaves
Add a little Water and grind to a smooth batter
Add Salt as per taste
Keep a greased plate and steamer ready
Add 1 small packet of Fruit Salt (Eno)
(To make dhokla in batches use half packet of Eno for half batter for each thali)
Transfer the batter in the greased plate
Sprinkle Red Chilli Powder
Keep this plate in pre heated steamer
Cover the lid with a cloth
Steam dhokla for 20 min on high heat
Prepare Tadka:-
Heat 2 tbs Oil in a pan
Add Mustard Seeds, Hing, Curry Leaves & Safed Til
Cut Dhokla into squares
Pour tadka on cut dhokla
Garnish some chopped Coriander Leaves & grated Coconut
Enjoy Scrumptious Moong Dal & Palak Dhokla with Chutney
