Instant Murmura Nashta Recipe

Murmura nashta, also known as instant breakfast crispies, is a popular Indian breakfast recipe that is quick and easy to prepare. Ingredients:

  • Murmura (puffed rice): 4 cups
  • Chopped onion: 1 cup
  • Chopped tomato: 1 cup
  • Boiled potato cubes: 1 cup
  • Chopped fresh coriander leaves: 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilies: 2
  • Mustard seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil: 2-3 tablespoons
  • Curry leaves: a few
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Roasted Peanuts(Optional): 2 tablespoon

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped green chilies and curry leaves.
  4. Add chopped onion, and sauté until golden brown.
  5. Add boiled potato cubes, tomatoes, and cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Now, add red chili powder, roasted peanuts (optional), and salt.
  7. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Turn off the flame, add the murmura, and mix well.
  9. Add chopped fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice; mix well.
  10. Instant murmura nashta is ready to serve.
  11. You can also sprinkle some sev and garnish with fresh coriander leaves if you like.
