Eggless Banana Walnut Cake Recipe

Eggless Banana Walnut Cake (Popularly known as Banana Bread)

Ingredients :

  • 2 ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 cup Oil (any odourless oil - alternatively vegetable oil / soya oil / ricebran oil / sunflower oil can be used)
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon (Dalchini) Powder
  • 3/4 cup Sugar (i.e half brown sugar and half white sugar or 3/4 cup only white sugar can also be used)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 3/4 cup Plain Flour
  • 3/4 cup Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • Chopped Walnuts

Method :

Take a mixing bowl, take 2 ripe Bananas. Mash them with the fork. Add 1/2 cup Oil. Add 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence. Add 1 tsp Cinnamon (Dalchini) Powder. Add 3/4 cup Sugar. Add a pinch of Salt. Mix it well with the help of spoon. Further add 3/4 cup Plain Flour, 3/4 cup Wheat Flour, 1 tsp Baking Powder, 1 tsp Baking Soda and chopped Walnuts. Mix everything well with the help of spoon. Consistency of the batter should be sticky & thicker. Further for baking, take a baking loaf greased and lined with parchment paper. Pour the batter and top with some chopped Walnuts. Keep this loaf in preheated oven. Bake for 40 min at 180⁰. (To bake it on stove, pre-heat steamer along with a stand in it, place cake loaf in it, cover lid with a cloth and bake for 50-55 min). Let it cool down and then slice it up. Take it on a serving plate & dust some iching sugar. Enjoy this Utterly Delicious Banana Cake.
