Besan Chilla Recipe

Ingredients for Besan Chilla:
- 1 cup besan / gram flour
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
- 2 chilli, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp ajwain / carom seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- water
- 4 tsp oil
- For Stuffing:
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- ½ tomato, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- ½ cup paneer / cottage cheese
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- for stuffing, 2 tbsp mint chutney, green chutney, tomato sauce
- INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large mixing bowl, take besan and add spices.
- Now add water and mix well to form a smooth batter.
- Prepare a flowing consistency batter as if we prepare for dosa.
- Now in a tawa pour a ladleful of batter and spread gently.
- After a minute, spread mint chutney, green chutney and place few slices of onion, tomato and paneer pieces.
- Reduce the flame to medium and cook the chilla with a cover on both the sides.
